We are thrilled with all the techniques we learnt from Diona. Our beloved Schnoodle needed extra help for his reactivity and overall stressful behaviours. And after just 1 month we can say that he is a changed dog and we are changed owners. It’s a lot of work and will be an ongoing process but we are currently sitting at a cafe with a relaxed dog that no longer feels the need to lunge at other people or dogs. I can't thank Diona enough for everything she's done for my puppy, Kronoz. I knew once I got Kronoz that I needed to invest in, not just a good trainer but the BEST one. Having a large dog breed like Kronoz who is a Cane Corso, I was unsure if he would ever be non-reactive and just be able to be neutral. HOWEVER, Diona approached him with so much patience, understanding, and genuine care that it completely changed our experience. From the first session, we were at awe with her training tips. She not only helped Kronoz become more confident and calm, but she also taught us how to read his cues, understand what he's trying to communicate, and correct behaviours in a way that actually supports his growth. We couldn't recommend Diona more! Our 14 month old dachshund had become reactive to numerous triggers and we were struggling with how to help her. Diona's incredible and undeniable passion, knowledge and understanding of dogs, their behaviours (and their owners as well) has helped us put into practice simple yet very effective techniques that have truly transformed our little family's experience. Our in person sessions were so informative as well as having ongoing contact in between via a WhatsApp group meant we were able to get timely feedback which was invaluable and a clear expression of Diona's dedication to her clients. Managing two Boxer dogs with very different energy levels and reactivity, plus recall and play drive.

For anyone who feels stuck or like nothing is really working, I couldn't recommend Diona highly enough. We had two dogs with very different personalities and a number of issues including reactivity that honestly felt impossible to solve, even after trying other training centres and methods. Diona has such a practical and realistic way of working with dogs to change their behaviour for the long term. Her knowledge and insight gave us a deeper understanding of our own dogs and how to socialise them correctly and let them process the world to prevent issues before they start. We feel way more confident and now have stronger bond with our dogs because of this. For anyone who feels stuck or like nothing is really working, I couldn’t recommend Diona highly enough. We are over the moon with her work and are glad we invested in a future with happy dogs!

Diona is absolutely fantastic and I can't recommend her more highly. We came to her because we had tried every type of lead but our dog pulled so much he was very hard to walk. Through 5 sessions with her we now have a dog who walks calmly beside us. He is also overall calmer and better adjusted through the work with Diona. We are also working on having him off leash (which I never thought would be possible as he is a hound) and generally having a more well adjusted dog who can handle cars and social situations much better. Her methods are kind and clever and show a deep understanding of dogs and how to effectively bond and work with them. Our dog loved the training sessions and adored working for Diona, as did we.

We love Diona and her training. Our almost 3 yo cocker spaniel was still launching himself at us, rushing at birds and cats, and generally being very reactive. Our nearly 12 month 25kg puppy Mav was getting strong and pulling on the lead, jumping and lunging at other dogs, people and birds while out walking and it was becoming a problem for our family and making our walks and outside family time not enjoyable. To say Franklin is a completely different dog isn't an exaggeration For the last four years, we’ve been scared to walk our dog, Franklin, past other dogs, visit cafés, or go to see the world with him without worrying about reactions, lunging and anxiety around other dogs. We’d tried personal trainers and dog training facilities. The training would work for a few weeks before his reactivity would go back to the way it was…again. It sucked. We wanted Franklin to experience the world with us, but no one had helped us create LASTING change. That all changed when we met Diona. From the initial consult to our final session, she’s equipped us with the knowledge and context to truly understand how Franklin thinks and operates. She taught us how to set him up for success, around his triggers, for all environments. To say Franklin is a completely different dog isn’t an exaggeration 😭 It’s simply our reality now, a reality that is actually sticking! Our friends and fam have also noticed the change in his behaviour too, which never happened with other trainers. We are SO grateful to Diona for her time, energy and expertise. We lost four years of experiences and memories with Franklin before finding a trainer who genuinely took the time to understand his unique personality and teach us how to give him a fulfilling life. Diona was very knowledgeable and methodical. Our training program was immediately effective, especially improving walks with our pulling and reactive dog. I liked that the approach is based on the dogs desire to be good, and on educating the owners to provide an environment in which the dog can be relaxed and happy. I’m so grateful we worked with Diona to train our dog. Much of what we’d learned in regular puppy schools and with other trainers was about getting our dog to do tricks (e.g. sit) and used a lot of treats but this wasn’t helpful when trying to get him to walk on a loose lead, improve his recall or with barking. Diona taught us exactly what to do and, with patience and hard work, it worked! We love our beautiful dog, Molly, but the situation with her pulling on the lead and her overreaction towards other dogs made our lives very challenging. We had attended different dog training sessions in the past, and although the trainers had good intentions, we had little if any success. So we are immensely grateful to Diona for teaching us the skills to train Molly and to help us understand her individual needs as well as those characteristics related to her breed. The results from the training have been transformative! Therefore, without a doubt, we would highly recommend Diona to set you and your dog on the path to a happy and content life together.

We have noticed a huge difference in Pippa's walking and arousal in just a short amount of time We have just recently finished a 5 week training block with Diona for our 3 year old blue Staffy Pippa. Diona did an amazing job at teaching us the tricks and tips to train our dog Bailey. We struggled with reactivity & pulling on the leash which was becoming extremely difficult to walk our little boy. Triggers were anything from boats, trucks, trailers, bicycles, people but mainly other dogs. Diona helped us with her thorough training and overall understanding which made the process easier, she was there every step of the way and goes above and beyond to ensure you and your dog get the support you need. Bailey still has a long way to go however he has improved significantly in the 5 weeks I have trained with Diona. I can't recommend Diona highly enough. I came into the training program feeling doubt that anything in our situation could really change. Walking out dog has become stressful and a less than enjoyable event. I would deliberately avoid times when I knew people and other dogs were around. What Diona helped us achieve was something I didn't think possible. The biggest change wasn't just in my dog, but in me. She helped me to understand how my own approach, reactions and energy were influencing things. As I adjusted my own behaviour, I saw a shift in my dog's, and was better able to read his signs. Since we started working with Diona around 6 weeks ago, we have seen tremendous improvements with our 1 year old, Robbie. I can’t recommend Diona enough! She has worked absolute wonders with my 5-year-old dog, Bodhi. Before starting, we could barely get through a 10-minute walk without him being spooked by something. In just 4 sessions, the transformation has been incredible - we now walk for 30 minutes or more, and while Bodhi can still get scared at times, I’ve learned how to read him, decompress him, and adjust how I handle situations. What stood out to me is how Diona tailored everything to Bodhi and to me as his person. She showed me how to understand his signals, read other dogs and their people, and handle situations with confidence. Because of her guidance, Bodhi now trusts that I’ve got him, and that’s changed everything for us. I finally have a walking buddy, and I couldn’t be more pleased. Diona has been fantastic in helping us train our rambunctious border terrier who loves the world and other dogs! It does require a lot of work and commitment from everyone in the household to make sure everyone understand the rules of the pack - but if you put in the effort and trust the process and you will have a new and stronger relationship with your dog.

Diona has changed our lives! She really knows her stuff and I knew this as soon as I got off the enquiry phone call with her. Prior to our training sessions with Diona, we had been to a number of obedience and one on one classes, without seeing much result. One of our main issues was leash pulling and it was important to us that we didn’t have to bring treats on every single walk to “bribe” our dog to listen to us. Diona progressively taught us her techniques in order for us to have a well behaved dog on walks. She also did the same to our other issues such as reactivity to other dogs and controlling behaviours. Her techniques are unique and also incredibly effective! The difference between Diona and other trainers is the constant support and advice she gives to you between sessions via a WhatsApp group. She analysed every video we sent (and believe me, we sent HEAPS!), and told us if we were doing it correctly or needed adjustments. The feedback given by Diona gave us the peace of mind that we were doing the exercises correctly. Diona is absolutely amazing. Literally amazing. As a first time dog owner I was struggling with how to deal with unwanted behaviours from our dog, the worst being that we couldn’t leave her alone anywhere for even 5 seconds without non-stop barking. These behaviours were making life difficult. Diona got to work straight away. Her training methods get results quickly and she explains things so clearly. It’s hard work and you have to put in effort, but Diona is always there for support. The changes in our dog in a matter of weeks have been incredible. We enjoy our dog now, she brings happiness rather than stress. Diona is amazing from a training perspective but the thing I appreciated most was that she doesn’t judge or blame. She doesn’t focus on or blame you for what might have gone wrong in the past - instead she entirely focuses on how as a team, she can work with you to achieve your goals with your dog. She has a great sense of humour and communicates exceptionally. From the first contact I found her to be professional, reliable and relatable. She is very experienced and it shows. Can't recommend Diona enough. She's very nice to work with and was so helpful with our 1 Year old Labradoodle Charlie. He had a range of things we wanted to work on like his walking (Long and Short leads), jumping up on people, taking things that weren't his to chew (like socks), jumping on the couch etc, and what we thought was Separation Anxiety. Diona was able to help us with all of these things! It has more generally changed his temperament from being 'a control freak' to being much more obedient and as an upside actually more affectionate. I really liked that Diona has a lot of tried and tested 'hacks' for achieving the results you are after that you won't find from Google. Am already making a list of things to work on with Diona next as he grows through his teenage years ;-)

Understanding an anxious and easily-overwhelmed Jack Russell x Kelpie who was reactive with other dogs.

a year in and my dog Rosa is unrecognisable (in the best way!) all thanks to Diona. before, she was anxious, reactive with other dogs, deeply afraid and easily overwhelmed by her surroundings. now, she can share an open field with other (well-trained) dogs, play even in high-stress environments (like train stations), calmly enjoy journeys on the train/car, walk on windy/rainy days, wait and settle when other dogs pass. she doesn't bark, lunge, or drag, just walks calmly with me or checks to see what we're up to when uncertain. Diona's taught me how to advocate and protect Rosa while ensuring she has a fun and fulfilling life. she also shared some fun tidbits about Rosa's personality, like how she is determined to excel at WORK (exactly like her momma XD) Diona's recommendation to switch Rosa's food from kibble to meal prep have also been a game changer. investing an hour every two weeks for this has transformed Rosa's body. no odour, no shower needed (unless she's played in muddy, rainy days!), clean teeth and glistening coat. she is much more alert, energetic, playful. bonus, even with the crate installed, she's much more cuddly! because she knows she always have her own 'room' to relax in. despite a challenging first two months (i'm an emotional dog-mum and had a few cries from overwhelm & guilt & impatience XD), i assure you Diona and her program is worth every penny. my bond with Rosa have transformed just from a year ago. if you're on the fence, this is your sign to book a trial with her & commit to the program. thank you Diona for changing our lives <3

We contacted Diona for help with our 5 month old puppy Barley, that we had adopted. Barley was adorable, but chewing furniture, nipping us constantly, jumping up at us, barking incessantly if we tried to put him in the crate, chasing the cats, and refusing to walk outside despite running around doing zoomie's inside moments before. I was constantly looking on the internet for tips to help him, and had been to a standard puppy school program, but nothing I had tried made any kind of impact. Diona is an incredible trainer. She has helped us to read Barley behaviour, and understand what he was communicating and what his needs were, and what we needed to do to have a happy calm fulfilled dog as part of our family. Diona was incredibly kind and patient with Barley and us, and her communication is excellent. And while I still think the cats preferred life before Barley came along, they now all co-exist harmoniously!

We cannot recommend Diona highly enough. At 3 years old, our groodle started experiencing excessive barking and being highly reactive when walking on the lead. Diona was the second dog trainer we reached out to following puppy school. My partner was sceptical of it being successful based on our previous experience. Reaching out to Diona was the best thing we did. My Doberman started pulling a lot on the lead and was reactive with other dogs, bikes, runners, little kids basically anything that would move quickly he wanted to chase. We had four sessions with Diona and it has completely changed the way we are with him and how he responds to us. The most important change for me was trusting my dog off the leash which I now do confidently. Diona has changed our lives! She really knows her stuff and I knew this as soon as I got off the enquiry phone call with her. Prior to our training sessions with Diona, we had been to a number of obedience and one on one classes, without seeing much result. One of our main issues was leash pulling and it was important to us that we didn’t have to bring treats on every single walk to “bribe” our dog to listen to us. Diona progressively taught us her techniques in order for us to have a well behaved dog on walks. There’s so much information out there about reactivity it’s easy to get lost on the way and confuse yourself and your dog. Diona was a huge help for us and our reactive dog. Walks used to be incredibly difficult as our dog lunged and barked at anything that moved - people, dogs, bikes, trucks - we were constantly trying to run and hide from triggers. Diona taught us a variety of balanced techniques to manage our dog's behaviour and help him to feel more calm and fulfilled. Walks now make our mental health better instead of worse! Working with Diona was a big investment - financially and of our time, travelling from Gippsland to meet her in the city. We are so happy we undertook her training, as it has improved the everyday life of both our dog and ourselves.

In December 2022 we travelled from Central Australia to Melbourne with our dog Loki. While in Melbourne we met up with Diona for some training tips to implement at home to help with walking and being calmer at home. Diona took the time to teach me how to help make sure I was giving my dog the optimal amount of exercise, brain work and rest. Walks have gone from high excitement and pulling to walking with calmness and even putting the lead in my pocket. Still work to be done on other aspects so will definitely be seeing her again next time we are down that way.

Walking a Mini Dachshund without barking and lunging at people and other dogs.

I could not put into words how much I would recommend Diona, she is pretty much the dog whisperer! Before seeing Diona I could not walk my Miniature Dachshund- Florence without her barking at everything! After 5 weeks of help from Diona I am able to walk Florence down the street with a coffee in hand with no worries in the world (a literal dream of mine). Diona's logic and knowledge is outstanding, I was blown away on how much she wanted to see my dog succeed. Straight away I saw improvements in my dog after just one session.
