## What it is

The Good Puppy Blueprint installs the PACE framework — PLAY, ANCHOR, CALM, EXPLORE — from week one of a puppy's life. That is the easiest time to set those foundations. It is built around the principle that an over-tired, over-stimulated puppy is behind almost every "demanding" puppy behaviour: nipping, biting, ankle-attacking, lead-grabbing, and zoomies.

Two personal 20-minute video check-ins with Diona are included.

## When to start

Ideally before your puppy comes home — even before you have confirmed the whelp date. The pre-arrival weeks are the ones that pay the most dividends. The program also works if you are starting from week one with a puppy already home.

## What the program covers

The four modes applied to puppy life:

**CALM** — Puppies need 18–20 hours of CALM out of every 24. Not resting near you while the house runs around them. Actual off-time in a crate or on a tether with no demands on their attention. Most "demanding" puppy behaviour is a tired puppy with no structure for rest.

**PLAY** — Building focus and engagement from day one. Where bond gets built and the puppy learns that the handler is the most interesting thing in the room.

**EXPLORE** — Being a puppy, within reason. Usually with a light indoor leash for supervision. Low arousal is the rule.

**ANCHOR** — Introduced around week 7 of the program, after the other three modes are running cleanly.
