Day 8 - Sun 29 Mar
Exactly a week since we started our little project, we provided the most number of meals to our friends today. Lamb ribs, creamed silverbeet, focaccia, dumplings, quiche, bolognese, pasta, crackers and dips... Other than the prawn ravioli, all other dishes have been tasted by our friends!
We started our morning with a video conference breakfast with Monika & Tito and Marta & Andrew. We prepared breakfasts at our own homes and ate 'together' through our webcams. Tito is still going to work as usual because he is an essential worker; Monika and Marta have been working from home; Andrew has been working from home on alternate weeks because he works at a hospital.
Rudi spent the day cooking at home and friends dropped by to pick up their orders. Sharmirah who lives 40 minutes away ordered the most. She and Rob came to pick up the food and delivered them to their family and friends. She texted me after saying they all loved the food!
We developed our new menu for the next few days in the afternoon. I'm excited about it!
In the evening, we went down to our neighbours Yvonne and George for a catch up. We brought Rudi's crackers, marinated sardines and fig salami, and enjoyed a glass of wine with the elderly couple.
Rudi made the best pizza in town for dinner. It's not on the menu, it's just specially made for me! :D
